Calling All Writers!

With so many great stories across Seventh-day Adventist basketball, this blog will go beyond the highlights and stats to share in-depth profiles of the people and programs of AdventistHoops, as well as noteworthy events and opinion pieces on relevant topics.

If you’re a writer, submit your work below. It should be descriptive, detailed, and give us a behind-the-scenes look into the minds, personalities, and cultures of the subjects.

If it’s a profile on a person, you should conduct a formal interview with your subject, and each story must contain:

• A problem, challenge, tension, or obstacle the subject navigated or needs to overcome.

• Include quotes from the subject and relevant characters.

• Horizontal photos of the subjects looking at the camera, preferably in a “portrait mode” that blurs the background, as well as other supplementary photos of the subject in action, maybe interacting with teammates or coaches, shooting, in the classroom, in front of the gym or school sign, leading out at church, etc.

If it’s a noteworthy event, a facts'-based report is fine, just make sure to include quotes from relevant people, and photos.
